Testimonial:

"I wanted to send a huge thank you to the Benter Foundation for supporting the Velocity program and providing non-profits like Bike Pittsburgh access to national fundraising expertise. Velocity completely transformed my fundraising communications strategy for Bike Pittsburgh.

In 2017, I joined the Velocity Level 1 Cohort. I learned strategies to take our marketing and fundraising to the next level. The best part? These were strategies specifically designed for non-profits. Non-profits who are short on staff and hours in a day. I learned about e-mail automation and segmentation, message timing for year-end fundraising campaigns, the best e-mail designs for the most clicks, and what language to use to connect best with our audience. All of the guesswork we had, all of that throwing spaghetti against the wall, it was now gone. I had the opportunity instead to focus all of my effort on creating the best campaign possible with the tools they gave us.

In 2018, I graduated to the Velocity Level 2 Cohort. At these classes I learned more about fine details of how to craft the perfect story arc. How to talk less about the non-profit and more about the people we serve. How to focus on the fine details and show our member and non-member community the vision we are working towards through print and digital media, across all platforms. In 2018 we raised $20,000 more during our year-end campaign compared to the year prior.

I joined the Velocity program in 2017 with little to no knowledge of the best fundraising tactics, and left with a clear strategy. This program works. And I couldn't have taken BikePGH's fundraising to the next level without it.

Thank you,"
