Unifying the voice of nonprofits to leverage their power

GPNP hosts an Annual Meeting towards the end of each year to inform members about the year’s accomplishments and next year’s goals. Each committee – public policy, membership and governance - also gives a report. The Annual Meeting includes a keynote speaker, educational workshops and networking sessions for nonprofits, corporations and foundations.

2017 GPNP Annual Meeting

Approximately 200 members convened to network at the 2017 Annual Meeting held at the Hill House Association on December 14, 2017 from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Over lunch, members head of the accomplishments GPNP made over the past year. Executive Director, Samantha Balbier, alongside Advisory Team Chair, Bobbi Watt Geer, recapped the 2017 GPNP SummitOur region wins when we work together, as well as membership benefits and future programming for the network.

Then President of the Forbes Funds, Kate Dewey, reflected on her previous five years leading the organization and spoke to members about the challenges and opportunities of the nonprofit sector into the future. You an find the Annual Meeting program here.

2015 GPNP Annual Meeting

The 2015 GPNP Annual meeting was held Thursday, December 17th at East End Cooperative Ministry in East Liberty from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and was catered by Community Kitchen.

The Annual Meeting honored GPNP founder and Advisory Team Member 2008-15 Greg Behr as well as Advisory Team Member 2010-15 Brian Schreiber. It was also an opportunity for GPNP members to elect new members to the GPNP Advisory Team. Members elected in 2015 were Lisa Scales (Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank), Patrick Dowd (Allies for Children), Karris Jackson (POISE Foundation), Aurora Sherrard (Green Building Alliance), and Adrienne Walnoha (Community Human Services).

2014 GPNP Annual Meeting

"Our Community, Our Voice: What is Next for Pennsylvania And Our Region?"

The 2014 GPNP Annual meeting was held Monday, November 24th at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. The event was an opportunity to hear directly from our elected officials following the November elections concerning current and emerging legislative priorities in Pennsylvania.
