“Do They See What I See? Public Opinion and the Human Services Sector”

by | October 8, 2004 | Human Services, Sector Trends, Tropman Reports | 0 comments

Review of a 2004 study by The Forbes Funds which commissioned Campos Inc. to evaluate gaps between public at-large and nonprofit practitioners in assessing severity of community problems. Key topic areas included public and nonprofit perception of local problems (e.g. hunger, affordable housing, literacy, neighborhood safety, etc.) in Allegheny county. The study is modeled after a 2003 national study by Pew Partnership for Civic Change and was replicated by The Forbes Funds and Campos Inc. in 2007 for longitudinal comparison and analysis of implementation efficacy.
