Cohort 3: Hiring and Training your First AI Development Assistant

Join Us for the AI for Social Impact Cohort – Hosted by The Forbes Funds

The AI for Social Impact Cohort is designed for nonprofit, civic, and community-based organizations that are ready to move from AI exploration into practical implementation.

This cohort focuses on helping organizations design, build, test, and prepare an AI guide or assistant that can support a clearly defined organizational need. Possible use cases may include public-facing FAQs, internal knowledge support, program navigation, staff onboarding, development support, reporting support, or community resource guidance.

Cohort Focus
AI Guide Buildout & Deployment

Participants will work through the practical steps of shaping a responsible AI guide, including use case selection, knowledge preparation, tone and audience design, testing, review, and governance. The emphasis is on building tools that are useful, transparent, and aligned with each organization’s mission and capacity.

This cohort is best suited for organizations that have identified a meaningful use case and are ready to begin implementation with care, documentation, and human oversight.

Free Tech Readiness Survey
Organizations that complete the interest form may request access to a free tech readiness survey. This tool can help teams assess current systems, identify internal training needs, advocate for technology access with leadership and boards, and strengthen future RFPs, grant proposals, and capacity-building requests.

The Forbes Funds is seeking participants, sponsors, and partners interested in expanding responsible AI capacity across the region’s nonprofit ecosystem. Sponsorship support can help reduce barriers to participation, expand access for smaller organizations, and strengthen shared learning across the sector.
