Join Us for the Transformative Leadership Cohort – Hosted by The Forbes Funds in partnership with First Tee Pittsburgh
The Transformative Leadership Cohort is a 12-week, in-person leadership experience designed for high-performing nonprofit, civic, and community leaders who are ready to strengthen their capacity for transformative leadership.
We define transformative leadership as the ability to promote justice, democracy, and equity through stronger communication, deeper collaboration, and a clearer understanding of the social, economic, and environmental systems shaping our work.
Through a partnership between The Forbes Funds and First Tee Pittsburgh, participants use the golf course as a living laboratory to practice vulnerability, invite dialogue, build trust, and manage conflict with agility. The program responds to the leadership vacuum and social isolation many organizations continue to experience following the pandemic, while creating space for leaders to build resilient networks and support one another’s well-being.
The complexity of learning golf becomes a practical metaphor for the complexity of modern institutional change: attention, patience, feedback, humility, repetition, and teamwork all matter.

Participation and Sponsorship
Individual: $1,200, includes GPNP Membership
GPNP Member: $975
Organization Sponsorship: $5,000
All participation levels include access to golf professionals, leadership coaching, and peer-to-peer learning.
This cohort is also an opportunity for sponsors and partners to invest directly in the region’s nonprofit leadership pipeline. Sponsorships help expand access for emerging leaders, strengthen cross-sector relationships, and support a more connected civic leadership ecosystem across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
