Forecast for Federal Grants will be presented by Theresa R. Walsh, CGW, Grants Coordinator for Senator Pat Toomey at the invitation of the GPA-Western PA Chapter. She will provide information about federal funding opportunities and available assistance for individuals, nonprofits, and businesses.

Theresa R. Walsh, CGW has served as the Grants Coordinator for U.S. Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania for over 4 1/2 years.  Theresa’s responsibilities include (a) identifying federal funding opportunities for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits, (b) preparing letters of support, and (c) conducting grants outreach meetings throughout the Commonwealth.  Theresa also serves as the lead constituent liaison with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Prior to working for the Federal Government, Theresa held various positions at a for-profit management company in Erie, Pennsylvania including Research Grant Contract Administrator. During her nearly four year experience, she was responsible to research grant programs, prepare funding applications, and from project start to completion coordinate awarded grant applications. Theresa holds a Master of Arts in Theology from the Washington Theological Union and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Alvernia University in addition to her Certified Grant Writer credentials earned in July 2011 from the American Grant Writers Association (AGWA).  In addition to her love of grants, she enjoys attending French Classes at the local community college, and spending quality time with friends in the Greater Lehigh Valley.
