Steel City Codefest

Now it its fifth year running, Steel City Codefest is the Pittsburgh chapter of a global movement that brings together coders, designers, and innovation enthusiasts to create technology solutions to solve community and nonprofit challenges. Nonprofit organizations submit challenges they face and teams compete to create the best solutions. In just 24 hours, participants create working prototypes of the problem-solving apps.

The Forbes Funds provides funding and support to continue the apps begun at Codefest. These new technologies, as well as the deepening partnerships between coding teams and nonprofits result in solutions with wide-reaching benefit. Explore below for more information about a sample of of these Codefest creations.
