“High Performance In Nonprofit Organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh Area”

Report summary: An exploration of governance, management, and organizational practices of local nonprofits that are considered exceptional in comparison to Standards of Excellence codes. The Standards of Excellence program was developed to forge a path for higher nonprofit performance, detailing 55 specific standards. Of the roughly 2,600 nonprofit organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh area, a small margin fell into the “high performing” category. Fortunately, the study outlines a pathway for organizations to build their capacity and performance.
