“THE PRECARIOUS BILLION DOLLAR SECTOR: Nonprofit Human Services in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area”

Nonprofits cover a broad swath of the region and are a source of vitality for local residents. They boost social cohesion and civic participation, and yet they are commonly undervalued, being left to adapt to uncertainty in times of economic downturn. This report includes study results on the financial health of nonprofit human service orgs in the Pittsburgh metro area so leaders can better plan for and invest in their organizations and the community at large.
