This report includes anecdotal evidence about the human and social services provided by congregations in the Pittsburgh area. The Forbes Funds and its commission partner, Buchanan Ingersoll PC surveyed Allegheny County’s congregations and faith-based organizations to get a pulse on services provision to families in the community. This census-like survey on the contributions of faith-based orgs aids in understanding the scope of Pittsburgh’s social service infrastructure.
